Ben specialising in new writing for theatre. He was previously Literary Manager and Associate Director at Birmingham Repertory Theatre where he established Transmissions, the company’s ground-breaking young playwrights’ scheme and programmed the work of The Door, the Rep’s new writing theatre. Ben is the Co-director and co-founder of The Ministry of Stories, a creative writing and mentoring centre for young people in east London founded in 2010. The Centre utilizes storytelling to inspire young people aged 8-18, in the belief that writing unleashes their imaginations and builds confidence, self-respect and communication.
