Lionel Tertis Prize

Congratulations to our music scholar Ami-Louise Johnston who has been awarded 3rd prize at the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition 2025 held in Gateshead. The Tertis Competition is counted as one of the major competitions for viola. Ami-Louise played the Walton Viola Concerto with the Royal Northern Sinfonia at the Glasshouse International Centre for Music under the baton of Thomas Zehetmair. Ami-Louise says "It was an intense but rewarding week".
