Dr Jonathan Foyle talk and dinner

Renowned architectural historian and speaker Dr Jonathan Foyle gave a riveting talk about the establishment of the Swedish Bridgitine Order in England in 1415 and its subsequent expulsion. He related his experiences as part of Time Team, when the foundations of the long-demolished Abbey was re-discovered under the gardens of the Duke of Northumberland's Syon House. Members and guests of the Anglo-Swedish society enjoyed an excellent meal in Hardy's Underbar, likened to a medieval crypt and a plastered tube train. SEE FACEBOOK
