EVENTS
Events of interest to our members form an important part of the Anglo-Swedish Society's agenda. Some 12-15 are organized every year. Although there is often an obvious Swedish connection, we take the view that members meeting up and getting to know each other is the key factor in these popular get-togethers. The events are often combined with a lunch, dinner or evening drinks.
Rotherhithe walk

Rotherhithe Train Station Brunel Road London SE16 4LF
Grethe Hauge will guide members of the Anglo-Danish and Anglo-Swedish Societies on a walk in Rotherhithe. Meet at the Rotherhithe Overground Station.
This is an area full of history. You will hear about Brunel and the first tunnel under the Thames, and go on a riverside walk with historic buildings, including the historic Mayflower Pub. It is an area very much associated with Scandinavia, and we shall visit the Norwegian Church.
The walk will take about one and a half hours.
We would suggest a spot of lunch at the Mayflower Pub after the tour.
Grateful if you could let us know whether you’d like to stay for lunch when booking this walking tour. Please also let us know your menu choices and any special dietary requirements. The menu will also be available on our website shortly.
The price for this walking tour is £13 per person for members of the Anglo-Swedish Society and £15 per person for non-members.
