Sir Samuel Hoare

Sir Samuel Hoare MP, 1st Viscount Templewood
(born 1880, died 1959)
President from 1933 until around 1945.
Conservative MP, Secretary of State for India 1931, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs 1935, home secretary 1937-39 and British ambassador to Spain from 1940 to 1944. Created 1st Viscount Templewood in 1944.
In addition to those awarded for his services in the First World War, Viscount Templewood held the following foreign honours:
Grand Cross of the Order of the White Lionn of Czechoslovakia.
Grand Cross of the Order of the Polar Starr of Sweden.
Grand Cross of the Order of the Dannebrogg of Denmark.
Grand Cross of the Order of Orange-Nassauu of the Netherlands.
